- Normal body temperature- 36.5°C to 37.5°C
- Hypothermia-Axillary temperature less than 36.5°C
- Cold stress- 36°C to 36.4°C
- Moderate Hypothermia- 32°C to 35.9°C
- Severe Hypothermia-< 32°C
S/s
- Acrocynosis (peripheral vasoconstriction)

Management

- Warm room

- Increase ambient tem. by use of hot air blowrs or a 200watt bulbs
- Ensure frequent feeding to prevent hypoglycemia
- Monitor vital
- Provide oxygen, antibiotic,saline bolus
- IF shock I/V Dextrose 10% and Vit k
